Five Worlds
New
- Every terrain now looks like its own world, on the same maps you know: the layout, paths and build spots are identical, everything around them is new
- Endless Desert: golden dunes, red sandstone cliffs and mesas, cacti and date palms round turquoise oases, carved sandstone spawn gates and a walled adobe town with domes, with blowing sand, dust devils and circling vultures
- Winter Plains is now a real winter: wind-sculpted snow, frozen lakes and icefalls, snow-laden firs, ice caverns for spawns and a snowy fort with braziers, under falling snow
- Dark Forest: an ancient haunted wood of gnarled giants, black ponds, glowing fungi, fireflies and mist, with spawns in the maws of broken elder trees and a lantern-lit forest outpost
- Dungeon Depths: a vast torch-lit cavern with flagstone floors, rivers of lava, glowing crystals, stone gates with portcullises and an underground stronghold
- The green meadows you know are now called Summer Plains
- Spawn gates come alive: runes ignite and skull eyes start to glow as a wave approaches, a swirling portal tears open while creeps pour out, and boss waves turn it a darker, angrier red
- Each terrain has its own ambient sounds
Improvements
- The terrain picker in the lobby is one compact row, so the difficulty buttons are no longer hidden
- Long sessions no longer get slower: graphics memory is freed when a game ends
